A rare day trip from Le Brewery to visit the Mont Saint-Michel
The approach to the mont is quite impressive, looming like a spaceship over flat agricultural plains and salt marsh with tasty looking sheep (Agneau de Pré-salé) fattening up on the marshland.
On the island the twisting cobbled streets leading up to the abbey reminded me of the Harry Potter films although rather than cobwebbed books shops, owls and magic wands there were postcards, omelettes and tourist tat!
